Lotte Beatrix is a London based illustrator and printmaker. She graduated from Kingston University in 2011 with a first class BA Hons in Illustration. She has recently been working on editorial illustrations for food magazines and a poetry book by Gillian Clarke for children and adults about a Christmas Wren.
As well as a practicing artist Lotte is involved with Illustration Research, presenting papers on The Vernacular culture of Peter Grimes (Ethnographic Museum Krakow, 2012), The Decorative Arts and the Public Space (Compton Verney, 2013) and The Politics of Decorative Arts and Modernist Murals (Towner Gallery, 2014). Lotte is studying for an MA in History of Art at UCL as she is hoping to merge theory and practice more closely into her future work.
